DeepSeek Super-Agent has arrived on GitHub. On October 31, 2026 the team published the dsh-superagent-prototype repository, a research prototype of a proactive coding agent under the MIT license.
What DeepSeek Super-Agent does
dsh-superagent works as a bundle for DeepSeek Harness. It monitors a single GitHub repository and, optionally, Feishu. When an authorized user requests a task, the agent opens a work item, executes it in its own session and directory, and replies in the original conversation, for example with a pull request.
A web panel shows what needs human intervention. The core philosophy is to consume as little human attention as possible while delivering maximum value. The code and documentation are at github.com/deepseek-ai/dsh-superagent-prototype.
Prototype, not official product
The README makes it clear: it is a research prototype for reference only, not an official DeepSeek product. Much of the engineering was done by coding agents. It may contain bugs and the style may be inconsistent. Some designs described in the companion article "Exploring Super-agent Design: Towards a More Autonomous Agent System" are not implemented in this version.
The proposed architecture uses a Router-Worker separation to manage multiple tasks more autonomously and reduce the human attention bottleneck.
Why DeepSeek Super-Agent matters
As coding agents become more capable, the bottleneck shifts to human attention. This prototype explores how to let the agent act proactively within clear boundaries, reducing the need for constant supervision. Developers can already clone the repository and test the approach.
The repository quickly surpassed thousands of stars, signaling strong community interest in more autonomous agent systems and architectures that prioritize delivered value with minimal intervention.
