Stairway Games and Balor Games announced that Coral Island Switch 2 arrives this winter of 2026, together with the free 1.4 "Kids Grow Up" update.
The cozy farming sim, already available on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series, finally gets a Nintendo version. The announcement came during The MIX Fall Showcase and was detailed on the developer's official blog.
What's in update 1.4
"Kids Grow Up" lets players' children grow through four stages: baby, toddler, school-age, and teenager. There are new scenes, interactions, and the chance to influence hobbies like music, sports, cooking, or gaming. Neighborhood kids grow up too.
Other additions include controller vibration support (HD Rumble on Switch 2, DualSense, etc.), cooking UI improvements, fishing bobbers, and lighting enhancements.
For Switch backers
Due to platform limitations, the originally planned Nintendo Switch version will not launch. Backers who supported the Switch version will receive a free upgrade to a Switch 2 key, or can choose Steam, PS5, or Xbox Series. The BackerKit survey runs until November 5, 2026.
The exact release date will be announced closer to winter. The game retains multiplayer for up to 4 players and crossplay.
