Konami released Castlevania: Belmont's Curse today, October 15, 2026. The new 2D action-exploration title in the classic series is available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch and PC via Steam and the Microsoft Store.
Set in 1499, 23 years after Castlevania III: Dracula's Curse, the game follows Rose Belmont, daughter of Trevor Belmont, through a medieval Paris overrun by creatures. She wields the legendary Vampire Killer whip in fluid combat and explores maps inspired by the franchise classics.
What the game brings
Developed with Evil Empire and Motion Twin (known for Dead Cells), it emphasizes faster whip action and the Arcana system, where defeated bosses become tarot cards granting special abilities. Bosses include Death, Medusa and Carmilla.
The Standard Edition costs around $29.99 while the Midnight Edition ($39.99) adds a digital art and sound gallery plus cosmetics. Pre-orders of both include the Alucard-style costume.
Konami’s official site confirms immediate availability and notes the series’ 40th anniversary year. A free demo was already available and progress carries over.
