The driving simulator BeamNG.drive arrived on PlayStation 5 in Early Access on Monday, October 19, 2026. The launch coincides with the v0.40 update on PC, bringing local split-screen support for up to four players, FSR 3 on base PS5 and PSSR on PS5 Pro.
What arrived on console
Known for its soft-body physics that simulates detailed vehicle damage and deformation, the game debuts on consoles with open-world exploration, Career Mode and various scenarios. The launch price is $24.99, the same as the PC version on Steam.
According to BeamNG's official announcement, mods and VR support will not be available at the PS5 launch. The team aims for long-term feature parity but does not confirm timelines.
Why it matters
BeamNG.drive has remained in Early Access on PC since 2015 and is now expanding to consoles while keeping the model of regular free updates. The arrival brings realistic crash simulation to a larger audience, though with initial limitations compared to the PC version.
